I took apart my carb on this tractor and cleaned all the insides and I used gasket sealer around the insides using the original gaskets. The tractor ran for about 1 hour and now it seems like I am hearing it pop and blow air out the inlet from the carb. I can pull the choke and it seems to quiet it alittle. It just seems very loud while running now and acts like timing problems but that"s not the case. Do you think I need to just install another carb??

Popping out the inlet is caused by combustion gasses being forced out the inlet. The only reason I can think why that would happen is a stuck intake valve.

Maybe you need to run MMO down the air inlet and see if you can clean some crud off your valve guides.

When I was a kid, we had this creosote stuff that we'd pour down the carb of our (worn out) cars. We'd pour it till the engine would start to choke down then stop (pouring....engine still running). Let her recover and do it again. Did this for a half dozen times. Exhaust smoke was burned oil white and lots of it but it cleared up after an hour.

Did a great job of loosening up stuck rings and valves.

I seldom use new gaskets on carb repairs. If the old one is in good shape I usually reuse it.

Since you said that your timing was without question..... .....course timing will do the same thing..... leave the inlet valve open at the wrong time.
