A little more complex an install than I had thought. Because of the internal pump filter, I had to heat, bend and grind some black pipe for the drop into the trans case. Threaded it over the pto drive and under the main drive. clears the pto drive gear by a few thou, but it's just enough. Used the tractor all day today, and worked great. I'm not happy with the speed with which the neoprene bushing is wearing in the lovejoy coupler though. It's gonna eat these like 'tater chips. Anybody got any better ideas on what to use for a coupling? Not a lot of room up there. Anybody using a chain coupler? I'm using 5/8 keyed shafts.
Thanks.

Ours has 2 40B12 sprockets w/a coupler chain. I work at a shop that makes sprockets, so I could get some for you if you wanted. Not sure about the chain though. Biggest thing is the shafts can't be too short, or they wiggle loose from the sprockets and you loose your pump till you put it back together. As long as their isn't more than a 1/2" or so between the shafts you should be fine.
Let me know if I can help

Thanks, Don. I'll keep it in mind. How large in diameter are the sprockets? That might just be the solution. Do you know if the lOvejoy halves should be relatively tightly pressed together? The shafts are 5/8" keyed. Email me with the $ you need for the parts. Thanks!

I can't say about the love joy couplers as I've never used them. I'd say tight but not exesively. I'll break down the 40B12
40- Pitch of chain (35,41,40,50,60,80,etc...)
B- Type of hub/sprocket (A= no hub, B= standard, C=coupler sprocket, D= double)
12- # of Teeth
A 40B12 is about 1 1/2 Diameter.
I'll ask my boss about the $

Can either of you send a photo of your setup? I want to add a front pump but the steering arm is in the way, I assume that is why you went with the chain and sprokets? Not sure of the other arrangement.
