Got a buddy who is a bit Puter Challenged. He has a 1947 Massey Fergusson with a T020 Contenental Engine.(I apologize if terminology is not quite correct as I am not at all familar with tractors and have kinda gottin sucked into helping him).. Anyway he has owned the tractor about 3 weeks and it has run fine. Last Thursday he changed the oil, fired it up and it was running fine till it ran out of gas, he forgot to open the petcock so it was running on what was left in the fuel bowl. After it stopped it would not start. Not only would it not start it would not turn over. We put a wrench on the front crank nut where the crank goes in (he doesn't have one for it) and it would not budge, even after removing the spark plugs and starter. Is there something we can look for before we go and pop the motor out? I would really be obliged if someone could give me some direction cause somehow I jist found out that I have been elected to help... Also when the tractor is in neutral it will roll around with no problem so it doesn't appear to be a transmition or rearend issue. Thanks much in advance... I don't get back here often so if you could send replies to my email address below it would be apprecitated. DonT [email protected]
