I"ve got to know the truth about my 1975 165. I was looking at a website that sells MF brake parts, and it doesn"t even list a wet brake part for a 165. On this site I just read the posting histories, and some people said they was wet brakes on 165s, and some people say they wasn"t any wet brakes ever on 165s. I have the square axels and I know it"s a 1975 model, but I would like to know the story and have the parts on hand before I disassemble it. Like everything else around here, I will not receive any help with it, and would like to be able to finish it the same weekend. Any information will be appreciated.

Stand behind the tractor and look at the plate between the rear end housing and the axle housing, if it has little notches in the thin plate that seperates the two , the number of notches tells you how many wet plates it has, no notches means dry brakes. cheers and good luck from down under.
