Sorry for piggy backing on your request. But I would like to get in touch with Gary(Ont).
Is this Gary Close? If so Gary please give me a call at 705-738-3681. I worked with you at Buckham a number of years ago and I"m collecting MH"s

Thanks

Sorry Steve, I think you have me confused with someone else. I live in Essex County near Windsor and worked at General Motors.

Gary

Robin,

That picture is in the "Repair Parts List" manual I have for the MH33. Part # 690 152 M3 The Hitch-all is the same for the MH44 as well.

I can send you a copy of a line diagram of the factory Hitch-all from the original parts book if you give me your E-mail address.

Gary,
Could I bother you for the line diagram for the Hitch - all as well? Any other advice on putting a three point hitch on a 44 would be appreciated too. I am not to concerned about it being original as long as it works well.
Thanks,
Dave

Dave,
You need to give me your E-mail address in order for me to send you the diagram. This is for the original MH Hitch-all. As far as installation, it's pretty easiy if you can find the parts. I have seen a few for sale on this site but sometimes the rest of the tractor comes with it.
Regards,
Gary

Gary,

That scan is great. That's going to go a long way for me. I really do appreciate it.

Can you tell me what manual that came out of by any chance?

thanks,

Gary, sorry about screwing your name up. I was talking to a guy named Allan while I was typing the response, and I guess the fingers got away from me. Not enough coffe yet, I 'spose.

Thanks,
Robin

does the '54 also have the PTO that's 9 feet off the ground? that could be an issue for driven equipment. i saw someone in the archives (if you're reading this, sorry for not remembering the attribution) who had the idea of chain driving a second, lower, PTO from the original. seemed like a pretty sound and economical plan.

The original 3 pt hitch for the 44 wasn't wierd except for the top link bracket that had to go around the PTO. My question; if you all didn't like the location of the PTO, why did you buy the tractor. Get one that you like the looks of and keep quiet about the beautiful antiques of 50 years past.
