I thought that little one had live power, think a neighbor had one, thought it had live power at least.

This is the way Big Dean's website describes it:
The 2nd stage clutch is adjusted from the bottom. Remove the dust cover and you will see 3 square head bolts(1/4-28 I think) equally spaced 120* apart with a lock nut on each. First, adjust the clutch pedal to obtain 3/4" free play between the clutch arm and where it hits at rest. Now adjust the 3 bolts to 0.050" clearance. If the PTO clutch still does not disengage the PTO shaft, there are two more things to consider. First is perhaps this clutch is frozen. Second, if the clutch assembly has been apart and some parts replaced the PTO clutch usually will not disengage because of mismatched parts. MF used two different suppliers and the parts are not enterchangable most times. The clutch should be replaced as an entire assembly

I can't accept the credit for the advice. I read about this on Big Dean's website(he is a regular contributor to this board) and just passed it along. Visit his website whenever you have a question; he very likely has written about it and suggested a solution.
