If this block is from a A3-152 Perkins then getting another block or motor should not be that difficult as they are very common - at least in Australia - I have a spare in my shed

It can be done, it's a complex procedure which I've only ever read about. They cut a square in the block and a plate to fit. Then holes are drilled half in the block and half in the plate, and dowells are fitted. I know it can be done on the vehicle, perhaps try an engine reconditioner?

What about some sort of epoxy, there is some really good choices out there. J.B. weld or check with an industrial supply house. I know that you have to have a very clean surface for this to work.
