Will the sleeves for a 162 fit in a 140 block?

Most of that series of engines (all three sizes were called the F400 block series) were sleeveless. I know some of the 124's had sleeves (like on my Case model V) but at the same time (1940) my Massey Harris 101 Junior had a sleeveless 124 engine.

The continental 124,140 and 162 all use the same block. The bore of the engine was increased to give you the bigger displacement

The stroke yes, but not the bore. That's why they are different displacements (124, 140, or 162 cubic inches due to different bores). Any will bolt up or to wherever the other was no problem. I've done it a few times myself.

I always thought that those 2 engines used the same block, different pistons. So, I say yes it will fit. I could be wrong though.
