Does anyone out there know if you can replace the 302 diesel in a Super 90 with a 318 diesel out of any of the tractors they were put in? They are both made by erkins, and they look very similar in the pictures I have seen of the 318. Also wondering if it would be possiable to bore or stroke one of these engines out pretty easily. Any advice for be great. thank you

Mike, I may be wrong, but am pretty sure the Super 90 used a Continental diesel, not a Perk. The 4.318 was used on the M-F 1080, 1085 and if memory is right, it is very different then my neighbors' Super 90. If this is correct, then there's no way a 318 would bolt to a S-90 bell housing.

The M.F. 85 Diesel used the Continental HD277 engine. The Super 90 had the Perkins 302.

The diesel engine in a super 90 is a perkins 302 ci. I don't know if they can be changed.

Well thanks for the info. guys, manly just want to get some more power out of it right now. It is only used for tractor pulling and I'm getting about 80-85 horse out of it right now. Getting a 100 out of it would be great so if you have idea, great, and no I don't want to turbo it or anything like that.
