alingment of power steering - MF 65

Hi,

I have a MF 65 Diesel and the power steering is not "timed" correctly. It works great in one direction but wants to "fight" when turning the other direction. How do I adjust it to get it to work properly?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

In the front end on top of the power steering cylinder is an adjustable linkage with a lock nut. Loosen the lock nut and turn the linkage in or out a quarter turn at a time, check your steering play with each turn of the linkage untill you have equal resistance to each turn direction of the steering wheel. In some cases the small keeper pins to the linkage is worn out and need replacing. Just a small amount of play will change your steering responce.
