I have a massey harris. I think it is a 44. at least that is what the guy who sold it to me says.
The ID plate on the left side of the chassis is torn off. How can I identify it.

On the right side of the motor is the die cast numbers at the top rear which are m1a260 and underneath that number is 33783. On the bottom of the right side is the number H260A.

I need an overhaul kit for it.

If you sit on the tractor, look down at the transmission shifter lid on the left bottom corner. Between the shifter lid and the differential lid. On the transmission case the serial and model number are stamped in the casting. You may need a wire brush or scraper.

As far as your rebuild kit, I can set you up with most of the parts. Email me if you're interested.
