What year for serial number 73916 6' pull type Clipper? When did the Clipper 50 first come out?Beside the chain drive on the fan mill and a removable top on the clean grain elevator, and optional swinging hitch and hydraulic lift , what other changes were made on the 50 model?Anyone know?

A fairly accurate date can be found on the large
upper pulley, of the widest belt. There should be a casting date(raised)within months of date
of assembly. I believe the 50 Clipper was out for
'52 harvest. A PTO driven model was about perfect.

Thanks Harris Guy.I assume you are talking about the adjustable cylinder drive sheave?Just bought it here through photo ads.Its in incredibably good condition for its age.It is a pto model Clipper.not a 50 model, but a Clipper 50 book came with it.Have been just told MF 410 screens will work in it? Can you verify that? Thanks, bob

The pre-50 Clipper had the swing hitch. Removing a couple of bolts, made road travel safer. Though
the 410 was rated a decent combine, I did not get
the use of one. Screen cross not verifiable. I
wonder where you will get the header drape canvase for a Clipper? They were $75.00, in '62.

Canvas is in near perfect condition. It does need some repairs to a couple slats and the leather straps soaked with some oil.Now I have to find a riveter and some copper rivets.Used to have a riveter, rivets and a Stewart Warner hand held tach. One of those things, I don't remember what happened to either.I plan on cutting 5 acres of wheat with it next July.
