I have an MF 1130 that has not been running very well for some time, keeps loosing prime, I am in the process of taking the injector lines, Injectors and Injector Pump off to have them all checked and or rebuilt if needed. My question is since I have disconnected all the lines to the injectors from the top of the pump, I turned the engine over today just to see if fuel was coming out the top of the pump and actually didn"t get much fuel, actually could only see fuel coming up one of the tubes after stopping and climbing out of the cab? Does this mean anything? Is the pump the root of my problems??? If the pump appears to be most of my problems I will leave the rest of the stuff alone and get it rebuilt, What do you guys think? I have never worked much on disel injection in the past they have always worked great for me. Thanks in advance, Leo

Good idea to have the injection pump and injectors worked over. Replace the lift pump on the side of the engine block. You need to check all the fittings that have anything to do with the fuel system since you are getting air in the system. There are rubber or viton seals or grommets inside some of the fittings that can get bad and leak. Get all of them that apply to your system just for piece of mind. That way you eliminate those components for leakeage.

A guy I know had a problem with his 1130 or 1135 that would cause the tractor to stall and loose prime .It was the fuel pump it was going and it would work then stop then work and so on so he bought a new one and it runs fine.Maybe thats your problem the fuel pump is on it's last legs

I recall a similar problem on my 1130 and I replaced O-rings on line near pump, problem solved. It may have been line between pump and filters. MF shop manual says if filters are clean and unrestricted, the air leak is most likely between fuel tank and fuel lift pump. If filters are restricted check between filters and inj pump.
