I have a 51 MH 44 and I'am entertaining the idea of installing a front mounted hydralic pump running via a shaft from the front crank pulley. I would like to mount a snowplow on the front. Has anyone done this and if so where might you get the pulley and parts to create the drive mechanism. I have a similar system on a 52 Ferguson and it works great. I can build a mount for the pump and adapt the plow harness to the front of the tractor. Looking for store bought parts rather than cobbling something together.
Thanks.

The advantage that you're going to get of course is "live" hydraulics. There might be one disadvantage of the front-mounted pump though. I purchased a 101 Junior once that had one and the constant on-off load on that front crank nut can cause some problems. Most pumps (when they kick in) will be forcing that nut to loosen. The previous owner of this tractor pinned the nut in which worked but the pin hole was starting to oval somewhat from the pump force. I wonder how factory mounted pumps off the crank are set up on trucks, etc.

you will not find store bought parts but it's not real hard to make if you have the tools and some time
