I have an old te20 and when it gets warm - after about 10 mins it seems to stop firing on all cylinders and then splutters and dies. If I let it cool down and restart it its ok. It's just had a new distrubutor but seemed ok just after that was fitted. Any ideas - it's taking about three days just to cut a smal field! - it does need tuning as the engine is racing a bit

It sounds most likely to be either the ignition coil or the condenser.

Replace condenser first to see if that corrects it, and then the coil and see if that makes a difference, as both items can test okay when cold, but when they get above about perhaps 120 degrees, clearances decrease, and is likely creating a short.
