Ordered a manual but hasn't arrived yet so another question,The 699 has two small diameter hydraulic cylinders from the frame extending down to the lift arms, it developed a bad hydraulic leak on one of these while moving large hay rolls(1000 lb.) I had the inner lift control in transport position and was using the outer draft lever to raise and lower the rolls, could improper use have caused the seal to blow? What are the function of these cylinders? thanks in advance, micky

They are assistor rams, to increase the linkage lift capacity from what is achievable with the internal cylinder alone. They are piped directly into the lift head, tee"d off from the internal cylinder. You are using the controls incorrectly but this shouldn"t have caused seal failure. Leave the draft lever fully back and raise and lower the linkage using the position control - you have far greater control over the linkage, especially when lifting heavy weights/implements.
