can anyone help? i purchased a 1977 mf 50c loader/backhoe and want to change the oil in the instant reverse transmission, axle planetaries, and loader/backhoe hydraulic system. i have the service manual that tells me to use massey-ferguson specification M-1127 in my trans. and planetaries. what type of oil is equivalent to M-1127? can i use a multi-purpose hydraulic oil? thank you;randy

Right On for Marlowe. The lubricant contains the proper additive package for things like final planetaries, wet brakes, etc. Why use cheap junk and ruin your investment. I see people do it every day, and then cry around the coffee shop about high cost repair bills. Maintenance dollars are much lower than major repair dollars.
