255 Front Axle Pivot

I have a grease fitting on the bottom of my 255 front axle pivot. I tried to lube it yesterday and the pressure release valve on my gun blew.

I changes the fitting and the same thing happend with the new one.

After removing it and poking up in there with a little rod there doesn't appear to be much room for any lube of any kind. Maybe 1 shot.

Is this normal?

Try a manual grease gun. Jact the front of tractor up just enough to rock the front axle back and forth. If you have a helper let one grease it while the other rocks the axle. It should take several pumps and you should start to see grease escaping when you have enough. Important to grease it well. Good luck.
