Help!. I'm looking for either a wiring diagram or a bit of help with our 101. In desperation I used the diagram for a Ford 9n (the components are almost the same)and have the wiring almost complete. What I'm left with is a wire coming out of the top of the generator. Is this the "hot" lead and is this the one that recharges the battery and if so do I hook it to the battery, and if so does it go to the positive or negative (positive ground, 6 volt system). The parade is tommorrow so any comments, insults, or sarcasm is welcome.
Thanks. David

Here is an addition that I overlooked in my original post. The wire in question comes from the top of the generator and has an "F" stamped into the housing next to it. I assume that this stands for "field" but I do not know where to hook it.

It should go to the resister on the light switch according to my book.
