Greetings! I'm sure one of you Massey-Harris fans is familiar with this problem: tranmission oil all over the 'tub' of the tractor beneath the input shaft to the transmission just behind the coupling from the clutch shaft. Is this a huge job to replace this seal, or will loosening the coupling allow enough room to remove the cover plate on the front of the transmission and get at the seal?
Thank you kindly in advance.

Hello Jerry,
Thank you for the information. I was afraid this was a huge job. Don't really relish the idea of engine removal to replace that seal, but it is a bad leaker. I'm located in N. Willamette Valley near Aurora.
Regards and appreciate your knowledge sharing.
