Hi all,
I'm looking at a "63" MF65 asking price $2500.
Motor runs great, Good compression, doesn't skip,
(Won't idle), Govenor seems fine, ( carb rebuild?)
Needs left kingpin bushings, A (rear?) pto seal,
Steering box to (pitman arm?) seal, The generator doesn't seem to work. The right rear axle seems to have a lot of play. Hydraulics are fine. Tranny seems fine,(3 speed high/low range).
clutches OK, (need some adjustment but work).
Tires and rims are good.
A) what is it worth?
B) What will it take to get it to be a good dependable using tractor?
C) Did I miss anything?

Thanks, Steve

That is a good price. These are great tractors. I got my '58 MF65 last Feb. The guy selling it said he put gas in it but couldn't get it started and knocked $500 off the price. He thought the tank was rusty and the fuel clogged. I looked in and here is didn't put in enough fuel to cover reserve. I got my MF65 for $3500

Is it gas or diesel? If diesel diffently worth $2500. If Gas still a good deal. The seals are not too bad to replace. All the Books and manuals are easy to comeby for ~$70.00 from a full line MF dealer. >$70 on the web.

I've seen MF65's sell in the so. Ohio area for $3000 to $4500.

Would you do me a favor? Please measure the length of the engine oil dip stick if it has the gas engine(C. G-176). I do not know if I have an origional or not... Mine seems too long and there are two score marks on it.

Jeff

Jeff, Yes it is a continental gas engine but I don't think the dipstick is origional either. If I get it I will give you the dimensions of this one anyway.

Thanks, Steve
