MF 255 overheating

I have a 1980 model MF255 with the 236 motor. Strong machine, but it comonly overheats when the motor is stressed by plowing or mowing. The engine cools readily to an acceptable temperature by allowing the motor to idle. I have replaced the thermostat/hoses and the only thing left is to replace the radiator (which I clean regularly). Has anyone else had this problem?

Have a 1976 255 w/203D, never had any overheating probs. Could be...?..bad gauge, bad sending unit, plugged radiator(inside), water pump going/gone bad, wrong rad. pressure cap...??? Good luck!
