Try www.pertronix.com I convert serveral a year over to electronic and have had very good luck using pertronix products. I have had only 1 faliure of thier product which was prompty replaced by them. depends on your application but most refits can be installed in 30 mins or less depending on what you have...they are simple and easy to install,if you can install a set of points or follow intstructions you will have no problems with pertronix. I have found no draw backs to switching, and it does keep a stock appearance....it will run better and crank faster.

Could you explain why a tractor with electronic ignition would crank faster? Can't figure that one out. Thanks.

you got me there I
should have used the term "start"(engine combustion) instead of "crank"(stater turning) in most cases I have delt with the higher eltronic ing. voltages will help shorten " total cranking to running times"

best wishes

I don't know about your tractor but I've always wondered why guys are so intent on adding electronic ignition to an older tractor. If the original setup is in good shape and adjusted properly, it should more than meet your needs. Did that years ago with an older motorcycle and eventually went back to the old point-style ignition. The Prestolite electronic aftermarket setup was a nightmare and prone to failure (not that what you purchase would be). Actually, your original system is electronic as well, just not solid state electronic. Stick with the original I say.
