MF 178 power steering pump

I have a 178 Massey with a power steering pump that is leaking into the crankcase. From what I can work out the bronze bushes have worn enough on the driven shaft that it will chew out any replacement seal (to the crank case). The pump is a Plessey Dynamics, Type A13 1165B. Does anyone know of a source for replacement bushes, Thanks

Geoff,
I have a 178 also and it is losing power steering fluid to where I don't know. Could be the same problem you had. I wanted to know what luck you had in fixing yours and what it required.

You might try the Vapormatic people:

That's head office. Contact them, ask about the specific part and the location of the dealer nearest to you (they sell only wholesale).

They list a pump for the 178 - VPJ 4900, (897 147 M95), and repair kits for one Plessey model, VPJ4003 (1810 509 M92).
