I have just purchased a 6 ft Massey Furgerson three point sickle mower. Vintage is mid sixtys. It is PTO driven and then a belt. I cannot make out the numbers on the serial no. plate. Does anyone have any idea what the model might be and any source of parts for these. Any help would be appreciated. As soon as my camera gets back I can post a picture. Thanks, Mike

Sounds like a Dyna-Balance Model 37. Outstanding mower. Tom

For parts, depending on what you need, it is probably easier, and MUCH cheaper, to buy a junk mower at an auction like yours. This will give you more guards an extra knife bar, and a shaker box. I don't know if a massey dealer would be able to order parts for it or not. We got one like yours and they are a very good mower. I think ours is a 7 ft. We had to reweld the skid plates and reweld the pto shaft over the years. Never had a problem with the shaker box, just be sure to grease the heck out of it(and get all the zerks-some are hidden-you have to turn it to find them)

Thanks, Ted. Do you have any idea what model the thing is? We don`t have any auctions around here. The main thing I`m going to need is the cutter bar. I may can make one once I locate a source for the teeth. Thanks, Mike
