My MF FE 35 (3 cyl Perkins Diesel 152) has a fuel leak in the seam between what I believe from page E112 in the JennSales Service Manual from this site is called the "OIL TIGHT COVER" and the "PUMP BODY".

Maybe I am have one of those brain dead days, but I can't find a part number for the gasket and I can't see any clear instruction on how to remove the "Oil Tight Cover" in order to replace the gasket.

Any help would be appreciated. I am also interested in knowing if it is feasible to make a gasket for this or is there a 'silicone' or 'gasket goo' product that would work?

Thanks
Bob

Bob none of my parts books show the part number for the direct injection pump gasket but they do show the part number for the regular injection pump it is 1 851 882 M1 I am sure they both use the same gasket I don't remember there being but one gasket for them anyway.
