Just wondering if I should use detergent oil (Penzoil 30w) in my MF135. The previous owner has used it the last 4 years. Don't know what was used in in prior to that. I have had people say I should be using NON DETERGENT. Any inputs or suggestions would be appreciated.

Coyle, If the previous owner has used it for the last 4 years, i can see no reason why you cant continue using it. Problems only occur if you change over from non detergent to detergent after many years of non detergent use. Is your tractor a gas or diesel engine.? regards, sibby.

You the same Coyle of VAW-122 fame? Try using Mil-C-81309 III in that engine. :)

Sibby Its a AG3-152 Perkins gas engine.
