It's leaking pretty good, has anyone ever had success replacing the seal without taking the assembly off? I'm talking about using a pick and removing the old seal

Here are the seal part numbers I used in mine.
PTO & pulley seal: National # 470241, NAPA # 11366

Good Luck, Ken

Hello Idaho Dave, how is the weather down ther? We need rain badly, things are drying up again. I'm hauling the Avery to a show near the end of July, never did that before.

I think you would get the job done faster if you just took it off. Plus you would have less of a chance messing up something(like marking up the shaft) There is nothing complex in those gear boxes if thats what you are worried about. The hardest thing is finding a good seal, getting it out,and putting a new one in. Taking the the gear box off and on is easy.
