282 Deisel Engine ?

Does my 282 share an engine common with other Massey models? The reason I ask is that it is very hard to look up part for. They are never listed for a 282. Even something as simple as the oil filter, luckily a filter from a 283 fit. Current interst is finding an exhuast elbow, none are listed anywhere except from Massey and they want $180 for it. Hoping to use an elbow from another model with the same engine.

The engine in your 282 is a Perkins 4.248. There are other MF models with this engine; 275, 283, 290, etc. Not sure if all the engine accessories are the same though since the 282 was made in Mexico.
