I am considering purchasing the subject tractor. It is being sold with a scraper box and 60" bush hog. I believe it has 1100 hours on the clock. The tractor has been kept in a shed and appears to be in good to very good condition. The gentlemen selling the tractor is asking $6,000 to $7,000.00, is this price range fair?

I know very little about tractors and would appreciate information regarding what would be a reasonable purchase price.

Also, are Massey Ferguson tractor parts hard to come by?

If it's in good condition, 6k wouldn't be a bad price. They are a very reliable tractor. Assuming it's a deisel. I love mine, also an '82.

I brought my mf-245 diesel tractor in 1978,it been A great tractor.I paid $5500 for it.

By the way, all parts are available from either your Massey dealer or several aftermarket sources.

I am very curious, is he asking $6000 or is he asking $7000? I never heard of asking for "price range". If a man says he wants this, then he is really saying the lowest number.
