If I park my MF240 in gear on a slope and let tractor roll so that the transmission/engine holds the tractor it becomes difficult to disengage the transmission (both shifters are hard to get into neutral). I would have thought that depressing the clutch would take all pressure off the transmission, but it seems not so. Rocking the tractor solves the problem, but that is not easy if the tractor is on a slope and you are alone! This can be quite a nuisance as the tractor only starts in neutral.

does it have a multipower? if it does, put the mp first in low and it will be a lot easier to shift to neutral.

No, it is a standard 8 forward speed box.
