is there any way to id the year of my 44-6, it was built with no hyd. what should i look for? any help would be appreicated

If the stamped tag is missing from the frame the serial is stampeded on the transmission/rear end housing. On the top left side of the rear end housing just aft of the pto/belt pulley engaging lever it should be stamped with a 44-6 number and then a letter telling what fuel, a letter telling you style , row crop or standard, a number for altidude your tractor was originally set to run, and then probably a letter F for foot clutch. under that is a serial number. You can check them from table pulled up from colume on left. The numbers are there you may have to take some steel wool or something to clean them so they can be read.
