My 150 massey ferguson diesel was gushing large amounts of coolant from the radiator overflow.I suspected a blown head gasket or cracked head. However, once i got the head off the gasket and head appears to be fine. The problem appears to be a large 2 inch crack in the #1 cylinder wall. Before i replace the sleeve, what should i look for that might have caused this problem?

Rod, We dont have 150 model down under, could the engine have frooze at some time and cracked the sleeve.? Is it a dry or wet sleeve.? If it is a dry sleeve that means your engine block must be damaged where the sleeve is located, if it is a wet sleeve just replace the sleeve. Is it diesel or gas engine.? cheers, sibby.

Rod, I am sure that they should have dry sleeves, i havnt seen a 3.152 with wet sleeves down under unless you have different versions over there.
