I recently bought a MF135 with a perkins gas engine. I cannot find a tag on the engine to give me the correct model number. I have read some of the posts on this site, I was trying to figure out what the designation means A3-152 & A3D-152. Does one designate my gas engine and the other designate the diesel version?

The A3-152 is the old Perkins regular injection diesel engine. The AD3-152 is the Perkins direct injection diesel engine. The AG3-152 is the Perkins Gas engine

Thanks for the info Dean. According to your email I would have the AG3-152. Is there a special tag or decal located on the engine ? Thanks Again for your help.

Coyle/Dean,

I think it is on the RH side of the block just forward of the starter, right at the block/head joint.

The engine model & serial number is stamp in a machained area of the block just below the head I can't remember where it is located on the gas but should be on the sides close to one of the corners some one else may know for sure where it is located on the gas engine.
