What is the original colour on a 1956 Ferguson 35 with Standard 23c motor? Is the grill grey or gold?

Thanks for any replies!

All tinwork was grey on the FE 35, when painting mine I contacted an owner of an original FE 35 which had only 200 hours on the clock, as it was only used for advertising work. My question was on the wheel nuts and they should be grey but the ends of the axels that show through are gold.
I have a nice article on the FE 35 complete with pictures, if you would like a copy I would only be too pleased to send you one as an attachment.

Hi,

What about the FE 35's for export? My Dads 1959 MF (FE)35 left Coventry in MF red/grey. It is a 1959 with Standard 23c.

Thanks,
Will

That's because in 1958 they changed to Red-Grey colour scheme, but did not change to the Perkins engine until I believe late 1959? They still had Ferguson badges on some / all of the 4 cylinder models.
