Our pony will be a working tractor, so to make it easier to shut the fuel off we made a bracket and put the sediment bowl in the open. Also made the brackets for headlights. Ray-s

Dave, all my Pony manuals indicate that the fuel bowl was next to the carburetor on the 1947 & 1948 pony's with a fuel shut off valve just to the left of the fuel bowl. In 1949 the fuel bowls were moved to the gas tank beginning serial# PGA 3117 and up. Hope this helps, Keith

Dave, the fuel path goes from a Half Union coupling (GA 3093)in Bottom of Fuel Tank, thru a fuel line (850-025-M11) 1/4in. tubing , x 8-3/4in. long, behind the air breather pipe to a Shut-off Valve (850-323-M1), then thru a Fuel Line Extension (850-601-M11), with fittings 1/4in. Tubing 2in.long, then through a Connector fitting (850-649-M1) into the Gas Strainer (850-042-M1), Filt-O-Ret 65. I have seen this configuration on a 1948 pony with the Fuel strainer screwed into the back port of the carburetor. This info is probably a lot more than you wanted but I hope it helps.

Don't know for sure how it should be, but my '51 has it under the tank.
