Correct mechanical oil pressure gauges (for our beloved tractors) are readily available from this website, other websites, or at most farm and home type stores like Tractor Supply, Orscheln, etc.

If you are talking old trucks in your experience, you are probably dealing with mechanical oil-pressure gauges (where there is a very small diameter oil line between the block and the gauge). Any of those would work except newer mechanical gauges read such high pressures and if it's an old tractor you're dealing with, the needle will barely get off the line if it runs 12 pounds of pressure on a 100 pound gauge. If it is electrical, there is a little sending unit at the block (threads in) with a wire attatched to it which goes to the electric gauge. Most of that stuff now would be 12 volt. In either one, the block thread is probably a 1/8" pipe size thread.

It will read correctly, it's just that most newere gauges have a very high maximum reading on the dial, say 100 pounds at the end of the scale. If your tractor is only putting out 15 pounds of pressure, the needle barely moves from the zero point at 15 pounds. If you can get a gauge (low pressure range like the older stuff was), then the top end of the gauge might be 30 pounds so a 15 pound reading will have the needle right in the middle of the scale. Just my preference, the newer types are fine.
