will a 12 volt starter from a 444 gas fit a 44-4 gas? I think it will but am not sure enough to spend a pile of money to find out i am wrong, again... Please someone help! What about a 333 gas to a 44-4 ? I have some information that suggests it will, but again, don't want to be wrong all the time...

Unless you get caught in core exchange, web
rebuilders, this should go. 12V from diesel
would be larger. It is possible for almost any
core to be shipped back, royal headache for you.
Nice to see the component, first.

thanx for your response. I am thinking of finding a used unit and if it fits, then getting it rebuilt. Today, a guy told me a 555 gas starter would fit as well. Any comments, thanx again.

Though I did read something on a cross of '5'
starters, I never cared for the unfinished locomotive. I avoided purchase, since so little of the 55/555 will interchange with rest of the half million MH's built.
