Can someone give me some history on a MF 100 These are numbers taken off the tractor. Serial # 1140 105404. Not sure what this # is 2135UTL and SGA646002050. I think it may be early 70's This tractor is yellow and has a front loader. I would like to know what the HP is and what kind of Brush hog it can handle and any other information god or bad. Also what would be an average value for this tractor in fair condition and needs tires.

The tractor is model 2135. The (optional) loader attachment is model 100. The horsepower (measured at the power take-off shaft) is 35.3 according to my book. The MF2135 is an industrial version of the MF135 agricultural tractor.

Thanks for the info, it has been very helpfull. We are looking for a tractor to brush hog some pretty heavy stuff. I know all tractors are expensive to maintain so I don't need one that's even more expensive to maintain. Thanks again.

The 2135 industrial tractor was available in two models; MF2135 Utility and MF2135 Turf. My book shows the year for your serial no. as 1966. Pluses would be: straight 6 spd. fwd, 2 rev. trans., good working power steering (repairs can be costly), two-stage clutch (live pto), good 3pt. lift. The 2004 Hot Line price guide lists auction prices for the tractor as: low $1500, high $5500, average $3208. It should handle a 6' bush hog. I believe you will find a couple of 2135's in the galleries section of this site under "tractor photos".
