That fourth speed must be reverse. All I'm famalier with have three speed with hi and lo, but I could be wrong. Good price and good tractor though.

I have gas one and it is a great tractor. Priced at $2500 is also good. Me I would grab it. I think horse power is about 30 but then I haven't looked at the stats in a couple years. If it doesn't have power steering try to stay away from putting a bucket on it as the can get real hard to steer. Lots of luck and keep us posted.

IMHO $2500 is a very good buy - expecially if in the condition you say.

I have a MF50 diesel and it has been a very good tractor.

HI, I am looking at / evaluating a MF-50, Diesel, the serial I believe is 9A I26238. I am told it is an "Industrial" version. Engine sounds strong, power steering. Seems to have an approximately 1 qt per hour hydraulic fluid leak. (Leaks near the bell housing or center point of tractor.) Has a frontend loader, poor brakes, fair to marginal tires, no roll cage or backhoe attachent. The live shift hesitates or thunks in and sometimes have to cycle hydraulics to get it to engage. I think it may be about a 1970 model year. The owner is asking $3,200.00. Am I buying a money pit or is it a fair value???

Thanks.

Great old tractor! I have one that's just about completely restored. It didn't need much, but it was my dad's, and I want it perfect. Parts are still available. Exhaust system will set you back about $60. Tires are less than $100 a pair. I see them sell routinely for around $4000 in these parts. They are 32 HP. If you buy it, let me know. I have a couple sets of "original" owners manuals, shop manuals, and parts manuals. E-mail me at [email protected] if you're interested in the manuals. John
