I was wondering what the oil capacities were on a Massey 35.

Transaxle?
Engine?

Also where is the correct place to fill the transaxle? I found the cap just besides the shifter. Is this it? And does that fill the entire transaxle? Just wondering since there were two drains. I have alot of water in the transaxle since this tractor was sitting outside for along time when i bought it. Thanks in advance.

For the diesel, 6 quarts in the crankcase, 8 gallons of straight mineral gear oil in the transmission/differential. Straight mineral gear oil is available from your Massey Ferguson dealer. C. T.
p.s. This is what my MF manual says. I am no expert, I just follow the instructions.

Jeremy, do you have the gas engine? Five quarts will work. For thr tranny, you need 5 gallons of GL1, 80w90 non EP oil. That's what I use and mine works good all year hot or cold. Before you put in the new stuff, put in a gallon or 2 of diesel fuel or kerosene, move the tractor a bit like 10 feet or so to slosh it around, not far because this doesn't lubricate well, then dump to get rid of the crap and install new oil.
