Hi, I'm helping a non-computer neighbour who has a work bull get some information about this tractor.

The ID plate on the frame front right is badly damaged and not readable. How else can I help identify the tractor model? He would like to get manuals to service the tractor. Anybody have a good source?

Where can you get parts for these tractors?

He really likes the tractor but it needs a little TLC. The only major problem is that it looses power to the transmission (hydrastatic) after about a half hour of use. Has anyone else had this problem?

Thank you

Glenn

Willie, Where are you located? If I wanted to sell mine (I currently don't) we would have to be close for the sale to be cost effective. C. T.

Glenn if it is a gas tractor it could be a 204 if its diesel then maybe a 205. There was also the 300 series machines (bigger)
Have him check the oil level in the trans. Mine is separated by a seal. The location for checking is on the right side(seated position) down at your foot. 11/8 plug. Level should be just at the bottom of the opening. I use dextron 3 its cheaper. It is possible that the foot shifting linkages free up after a bit this could make it hard to shift. Best to observe them with the tractor in neutral shifting from forward to reverse. Good luck.

Possibly a 204. If you are losing power, it sounds like there is a weak pump in the transmission or torque converter/clutch pack problems. If this is indeed a instant reverse transmission. Read the post below about the workbull that WAYNE posted.
