MF165 PTO problem

I recently bought a 165. The only way I can engage the PTO is if I kill the tractor completely. I can disengage with no problem, but I must shut the tractor off to engage it. It seems as if something was locked up inside and it is now direct drive, and someone has has been into before!
What are some possible causes?
thanks
shelby

I had same problem last year. Big Dean saved the day. I went to his website & followed the directions. Took me about 30 min.

Thanks Big Dean,
Jeff

You probably need to adjust the pto internal clutch adjustment that is made by going up through the inspection hole in the bottom of the bellhousing. If you will send me an email address I have a picture i can email you that shows how that adjustment is made.
