MF362 Serial Number

I'm trying to determine the year model of a Massey Ferguson model 362. The serial number is 849160. Is there any way to determine the year model from this serial number? Any help would be appreciated.

The number you quote isn't a serial number. The first figure on the serial number will be a year Alpha your 8 might actually be a B or a D.The next numbers two are the week of the year and the last three are the sequence number in that week that the tractor went down the line. Do you have the engine number that will also give you the year of manufacture.

Graham, the engine number is U599222, and there is another number on the engine, 31234. On the model plate, the model number is MF362-2WD, the type number is 5728, and the serial number on the plate is 349160. Is that enough information to determine the year model? Thanks!
