Hello, I was wondering if anyone could tell me if the 354 perkins in the 750 combine was an industrial engine. Mainly if a bell housing off a 354 industrial would fit the engine out of a combine. Also wondering if anyone knows the approx. weight of this combine?
Thanks,YC

They should be the same as far as the way a bellhousing bolts up. The 6.372 was the same also. What you going to do with it? There was some differences in internals such as the way the liners were cut and so forth but basically the same engine. As far as weight, I forgot! Long time ago!! 16000 to 18000 lbs. sound rite to anybody?

Hello, Thanks for the info. I am going to put the engine in a wood chipper that was once powered by a 4.236. Bought the chipper with everything but the engine block , and have come to find that the 354 is much more common to find reasonable than the 236. With some slight modifications I should be able to put the bigger engine in. Perhaps could run it at a slower speed as well, as it should have the power.
Thanks for the help.YC
