I looked at a Massey Harris for sale today. I had spotted it a couple of weeks ago behind a house out in the country near my house and today it was sitting out front with a for sale sign on it. The husband died and the wife is selling it. I don't know MH's and while this one still has paint it doesn't have any marking to tell me what model it is.

I think this is the serial number ... 30 GR 8453.

It's a narrow front gas model, big tractor. Sheet metal is very good, rear tires good, started up on the first turn.

Can someone tell me what model it is and point me to a serial # list? Would also like to know what price range it should sell in (central North Carolina but any info would be helpful). The lady is asking $1,700 but said she would take less.

Appreciate any help.

FrogLevel: Grab it. It's a 1948 Model 30 row crop. Having said that, I don't know what tractors go for in your area, but here, that would be a deal, particularly for one that sounds like that. Tom
