Help'' I am not a mechanic and don't know much about tractors but my dad has a MF35 He can't see very good but he put new wires on it anyway. Then called me to look at it. It would start but had a bad miss..I found the fireing order and got it running but still misses but not as bad..I still feel that the wires are wrong on the cap. How do I find #1 on the distributer cap can anyone help...Thank You

Dominick, The distributor rotor moves in a counterclockwise direction on this tractor. It's common to find them wired as if the rotor went clockwise. They'll start, but they run pretty badly if that's the problem. Jim

Pull #1 plug, stick you finger in the plug hole, turn the engine BY HAND until you feel comprssion agains your finger. Find TDC, #1 position on the cap is where the rotor button will be pointing to. Follow the firing order in the direction of the rotor travel.
