I am going to repaint/restore my 555 Diesel this summer, and I need to find an original (or original looking)battery box.
Any help out there would be much appreciated.

Hi, Good luck on your 555 restoration. I'm restoring my 555. It was my grandfathers. Just starting on the body but want to staighten out the cluch first. Hand clutch won't stay engaged. I need the chrome for the hood/grille, do you have any leads?? Thanks, Scott

i just brought a reproduction battery box.. but i havent gotten it yet.. very soon.. that guys name is jeff .. cant give u his full name i can have him email to you if u are interested.. need your address.. i got for like $65 something.. very reasonable.. been trying to find orginal battery box.. u wont find it, even asked fred wolfe if he had, he didnt have one...but jeff has quite a few repo. boxes.. so let me know and i ll give ur email to him..
