i agree with john. if no knocking noises are present, get an oil pressure guage on it directly from an oil passage in the block. even if you spend $20 on a guage and find it doesn't have pressure then you have it in your arsenol for diagnosing the next problem and if you find that your OE guage is bad you save 3-4 hrs. of misery standing on your head dropping the pan. wouldn't run it any longer that necessary until you know for sure what you have for pressure tho. just my 2 pesos worth. good luck fred

Check with another guage- sometimes the guage loses tension inside and do not register correctly.

Also would not hurt to change oil filter too if equipped.

Does the engine make clanking or slapping sounds? These sometimes indicate worn bearings which if worn enough will produce the same low readings. As will an oil pump relief valve that has gummed up and stuck.

no clanking or slapping sounds.so I guess the bearings are alright, because everything sounds good; so I guess I will drop the oil pan and check the pump; you wouldn't happen to know where I could get a oil pan casket and a rebuilt oil pump in case I need it.
