Where can I get the washer and compression spring that goes in the oil filter housing of my 1972 Perkins powered 165? I lost them while changing the oil & Filter. What a bummer! Can't locate these at any parts place, and the MF dealer suggested I buy a spin on filter conversion kit, which he did not have.

Hi, You can go to any massey dealer and order the spin on housing and a gasket. The bolts will be to long, but you can fix that by adding extra flat washers under the heads. My dealer doesn't offer a kit but the parts were cheaper for me than a kit from somebody else with shipping. Bill

go for the spin on, makes the job of changing oil a lot easier. I think you will have less chance of getting dirt in motor . I converted both my 165 and 180. Love it.

Go for a spin on and you know it is working ok and not missing a spring which most do. I got mine from Bareco but they do not supply the bolts.
